I installed an Accel cap and rotor along with the Accel coil (with harness adapter) and AC Rapidfire plugs. The idle is still a little rough, however, the ignition made a noticeable improvement.
After installing the Magnaflow muffler, I developed a bit of hesitation off the line. I also lost the mild wheelspin I had since the TonyD intake/throttle body combo install. I figured it was from too much air turbulence and ordered the Accel parts. They were relatively easy to install, although getting to the cap and rotor at the back of the engine was a little awkward.
Anyway, after the install, the truck is noticeably faster off the line. Too much throttle and the mild wheel spin is back. Mileage is going up as the ECU adjusts to the new parts. Cruising at 65 reads 20-21 mpg on the overhead. Inclines where the current mileage reading dropped to 16 before, now only drop it to 18. At a guess, my average highway mileage is gonna be closer to 18 now. My goal is still 20, though. I'll probably do headers and 10mm ignition wires as my next engine mods. Then the PCM whenever it's released by MOPAR.
By the way, 2000 SLT+ 5.9 3.92LSD 2x4 Driftwood. No roof rack. 3500 miles. (I gotta change the oil!)
