I park as far from the store entrance as is possible and I ALWAYS take up two spaces, being sure that my rear view mirror is centered with the yellow parking line. My friends all kid me as "King Double-Space" but I've gotten no dents or scratches. Plus it lets me park with the wheel turned to the left, showing off my rims and beautiful “D” shine. People must think it's a demo car or something because traditionally no one parks near me. I love it. Rule of thumb, avoid parallel parking, it's just not worth it, it only takes one driver who subscribes to that “I can squeeze in there” theory to give you a fit and (#*load of scrapes.
