He DOES NOT deserve to be there. While he was managing the Reds, he bet on games. It's documented that he spent as much time watching the outfield scoreboard for updates as he did managing games.
An when he was "managing", he put himself in the line up just to pad his hit totals. He would likely never reached his hit total if he wasn't a player/manager. Most respectable managers never would have put him in the game at the end of his career.
Let him spend the rest of his life hocking autgraphs on cable TV at 3:00am. The more he signs, the less they are worth!
