I took the stock roof racks off and put on Yakima roof racks so that I could more easily carry our canoe. I found the wind noise from the tubular racks to be horrible...and had to install the Yakima wind foil. The foil was a beast to get adjusted just right as it has to sit below the bars but high enough to deflect the wind over the bars. I wish there was a better solution to stopping the wind noise as I don't like the wind foil having to sit down onto the painted top of the "D".
