Enough to make a grown man cry. I was involved in an accident that smashed in the front on my 99D, less than a year old.
I was moving toward a 2way stop in a left turn lane when someone in the right lane let out a car from a drive way. She zipped out to turn left right in front of me.
All I could do is jam the brakes and wait for impact. Fortunately, I think, my airbag never blew. Unfortunately for the young lady in the '94 Dodge Intriped, hers did and hit her in the face at 100mph.
She had to be taken to the hospital as a precaution. However, I think she will be fine. I was alone and nothing happened to me but a banged up truck.
Here's the other bad news. This woman was 23 and driving with a suspended license and no insurance. I think the car was new to her because it didn't even have plates yet.
With my current rental car coverage on my insurance, they will pay for 80% of what ever I rent. I have 4 kids, so I have to get something big enough (which is why I bought a D). Anyone know what a D runs to rent?
Sorry for the ramble, while every person involved is OK, my D looked sad being towed away!
