I have no idea why the D was repainted, I can only guess that the dealer saw the no-painted spots on the hood too, I guess the D is a bad painted lemon.
: When I went to sell our Intrepid to buy the D, I took it to Car Max and Auto Nation just to see what they would give for it. Well when I went to Car Max they told me the drivers rear quarter panel had been repainted. I said we've had the car since it was new and the only work ever done was to the rear bumper (plastic) and it was replaced. The "evidence" was inside the door jam on the rear door. It looked like a tape line. He said it may have been damaged in transit and painted before we recieved it. BTW, the car was delivered from a dealer about 50 miles away from us to our local dealer.
