I have a friend with a 98 D whose tranny is gone. Kaput. He is past the 36,000 mile powertrain coverage and Chrysler is telling him he has to foot the entire $2000 bill.
He is going to talk to the zone rep on the issue, but I would like to arm him with data. Somewhere I saw a web site (gov?) that people would post their car problems to and the gov tracked them. I know the Chrysler 4 speed has been a problem in the past so I would like to arm my buddy with this list of other people who have had problems.
Can anyone point me to something like this? TIA!
