Black chrome works great! Returns black plastic to new.
: : I (we) still love our 99 D, about a month and a half since we brought it home. But a lot of the black plastic items on the exterior (roof rack, door handles, mirror base, cowl area) are starting to "fade to white" and it's beginning to tick me off. Anyone have any experience with this or any potential solutions. I haven't seen it on any other Ds around here, and don't have any similar problems with my 93 Dakota. And didn't see anything in the FAQ or any recent posts. Any help appreciated!
: A product called "Black Chrome" works well at restoring the black and lasts a few months. There are some other products that do the same. Mineral oil also works.
