I picked up the ol' D yesterday afternoon. I noticed an IMMEDIATE reduction in the noise and the super short time it took for the A/C to cool down the inside. (about 104 degrees yesterday)
The noise (lack of) was music to the old ears and I even noticed a little increase in MPG. We drove about an hour out of town for a family activity and got 18.3 mpg running about 79 on cruise. I usually run a little faster than that but am reevaluating my driving habits after the 18.3.
They washed the D and even armor-alled the tires.
ALSO, I found that I had 2 more broken studs since anout 3 weeks ago when they (supposedly) had all 4 wheels off dealing with my brake dilemma.
Brakes seenm to be fine now but we shall see the next time that they get HOTT.
ANYWAY, STILL LOVING MY D, and I sincerely recommend anyone who hates the fan roar decide of your D "runs hot" or maybe the "A/C doesnt work like it should"
