The shock mounts would be toast in no time flat. Another idea would be to borrow a page for the LowRider's Handbook and install air bags at all four corners. You may have to tweak the torsion bars up front to get the lift you want from the bags.
A good way to test and see if this will work is to measure the droop of the front end. If you can get 6-7" out of both wheels at the same time, then airbags will work. As a benefit, they will ride kinda nice off road and your bouncing over the bumpy stuff.
Something else to think about.
