I've got a Jacobs boost retard timing device if you want it, just let me know. I had it installed on a supercharged Jeep XJ before I sold it. It's pretty easy to install, all you need is a vacuum port to the intake manifold and some simple wiring. It would be a last resort only if you can't solve the problem otherwise.
