For those of you who are interested, I thought I'd provide you an update on the Durango Watch. Shortly after my last post on this, I encountered a problem with the watch stopping. I contacted Tim, and made arrangements to ship the watch back to him.
The problem was associated with a "bent crown". Whether this was caused by something I did, or a problem from shipping, Tim handled it.
Between my vacation--and frequent business trips, I had Tim delay shipping it back to me, and am looking forward to seeing how it performs over time...pardon the pun. I'm hoping to have it back within the next couple of weeks--don't know if Tim is on vacation right now or not so I can't say for sure when.
I brought this up again for two reasons.
1. Most people don't look past the last 4 days worth of posts and the last post on this was the 17th of Jun. (a lot of new people checking out the forum.)
2. I'd made an off hand comparison to my Timex Expedition---for the record that watch died a horrible--and loud--death. It had some kind of short circuit on my vacation and started to "squeal" loudly while I was driving. I pulled off the highway, and pried the back off to remove the battery. The noise stopped--but the time did as well...at least for the watch. I guess there is something to say for quality.
(Note: Tim's temporary site is still active--which is where the link takes you.)
