Or have people installed auxilliary coolers anyways?

I am getting ready to install one in a few days, it is not a big job.

: How complicated would it be to install a tranny temp. guage?

I put my tansmission temp gauge in the pan, I ordered a ISSPRO gauge and sensor for diesel injection service (www.dieselpage.com). I got the universal sensor kit, that way I can weld one of the adapters into the pan to which I install the sensor (acts as a drain plug). The temperature of the Durango (no trans cooler and no/or very little load) runs about 200deg F. My RAM 3500 doesn't break 180deg. F loaded with 6k trailer running down the road.

: And Has anyone looked into installing differential or oil coolers of any sort?

I have a Mag-Hytec Differential Cover (http://www.mag-hytec.com/) on my RAM (Dana 80), I installed a temp gauge and the temp never gets too high (around 160deg F) with 6k load. I don't think you will gain anything at the differential.

Best Regards,
Ted
