I have the stock Mopar running boards, and also wish that I went with the Nerf type running boards (wife liked the look of the Mopars). I figure its just a matter of time until I rip the Mopars off while off-roading, at which time I will replace them with Nerf bars.
FYI for all, the Mopar running boards are actually metal box-shaped tubes covered by plastic. They may hold up better than the traditional fiberglass boards which tend to crack and tear on impact.
