Guy ran a red light but ALMOST got stopped. I ALMOST saw him soon enough to miss him. He hit me on the right side. Made contact with the front of the tube step (right at the bend). The step deflected him up into the door panel. I now have 3 nice creases in the door panel. If the tube step would have been about 3/4 of an inch higher up, it may have deflected him completely (could have been lower due to my braking and steering away from him). The only thing he did to the tube step is leave some paint. No bending or denting. Now I get to see how good his insurance is.
