Just wanted to say "thanks" to you guys for your reply to my earlier (5/24) post ... had to go on a little road trip for the shop.
Decided to yank the stock CD/Cass/Radio and will throw in a new dash unit (Pioneer DEHP3000 22WrmsX4) and 4 new 2W 6.5" spkrs (JBL GTO). (I think she'll be more than pleased - but if I had my way, well...!)
The main reason for the stereo scenario grew out of a mishap in our D deal (Klaben Dodge - Kent Ohio) ... during the negotiations for the D (90% via phone), I was lead to believe that it had the Infinity option ... when deal was struck and we went to pick up our D, we found out it didnt have Infinity (and unbeknownst to me it "grew" a power driver seat instead) ... after a heated discussion with my salesman/Klaben (I've purchased/leased $93K worth of vehicles from the Klaben Auto group since 1993), we came to an "agreement" - I hand back the stock CD/Cass/Radio unit, Klaben cuts me a check for $320.
Since I'm not in the mood at the time to both commit a pile cash and time to do it up "right", I chose the Pioneer (great power as far as in dash units go) and the JBL GTs because the price was right and they have "my kind of sound profile"
Though it probably wont rival the Infinity setup, considering I'm out about only about 15 bucks and the few hours it'll take to throw them in - it'll do the trick for now....
