1976:
Friend of mine wanted to buy a new K-5 blazer,
but wanted the 454 engine with 4-speed tranny.
Dealer said that it is not offered, but let's
try. Used the option code from the 3/4 ton
K-20 pickup, and put them in the Blazer order.
It worked. He got a factory 454 4-speed Blazer,
that Chevy said was not available. You just had
to have a cooperative dealer.
