Not only is the amount of the down high (I put $1000 down on mine--my choice--but others in this forum have commented on much lower deposits). The non-refundable is not right and foolish to agree to. That means you lose the money regardless. I ordered from one dealer, found a better deal two days later, and the first backed the money off my credit card. No problem. My current dealer states that there is no way a dealer can hold you to a "non-refundable deposit" unless you sign something. Don't do it. Refuse and see their response. If poor response there are other dealers who will treat you fairly to get your business.

: I was just told by a dealer that to ORDER a D I need to put down a $1000 non-refundable deposit. Does this sound right. What terms did others have when they ordered their's?
