I have always changed my own oil, but decided to have the dealer do it. they left the oil fill cap off. I drove for about 1000 miles before noticing. Dealer did nothing but say sorry.
I am checking under hood after any service, not done by me.

: I had Jiffy Lube change my oil at 1147 miles. I had my hood up today and noticed the air filter housing was never reclampled, allowing the intake air to bypass the air filter. I now have 3500 miles on my D, so for the last 2500 miles I've been running filterless! Although I haven't noticed any problems, I am worried this has damaged my engine.
: Called the Jiffy Lube today, and they said they were sorry. Sorry isn't good enough. They are elevating my complaint, and the District Customer Service Manager is supposed to call me later today to discuss.
