I have a 98 - first model year. My first 98 was a lemon. Dealer replaced it after 3 months (major drive train problems). Second D is MUCH better.

I was just thinking last week, that I have and had numerous "little" problems (rattles, squeaks, brake chirps etc.) but nothing major. This has been my general experience with Dodge over the past 20 years. Once in awhile you will get a lemon (just like any make), but what makes Dodge different (IMHO) is that generally the problems with a new Dodge are small (even though they may sometimes be numerous). Whereas my experience with Ford's and the like, is that something big is bound to break.

Just my opinion and experience,

Matt "the" D
