When i installed the KN filter, I also opened up the air box intake, so more air could flow into the box. At first, the engine seemed not to like it, but within a 100 miles or so, it was definately better. I think there may be some time needed for the computer to use the new abilities of any mod you install. This is only my guess, I certainly don;t know this to be true, but my experience seems to indicate this. Also, one other point. If you have two cars that will do the 1.4 mile in 15.o seconds, and one has open headers, and one has a quiet, stock exhaust, then if you drive both, the quieter one will seem faster to you. At least this what I percieve about a vehicle. It is wierd, but again, how I see things. Any comments welcome, from anyone...
