Is your source for this info on the net someplace? I'm thinking I'll wait and get the 00, but i'l like to track the changes.
: Yep, it will be a 275 Hp (335Lb.-ft) 5.9L. 5.2L dropped for 2000 and the new Jeep 4.7L SOHC engine/tranny combination will be put in it's place. A R/T version will also be built and will contain 4 captains chairs with NO 3rd seat option available. The 3rd seat models will have the 2nd (middle) seat moved back wards a few inches and put into the same place that the Non-3rd seat D's have the seat. (You did know there is a difference in 3/2 row seating D's now right?)...in effect the 3rd seat loses a little leg room. Possible differnt leather seats moved ahead from MY 2001...incidently MY 2001 is when the D finally gets heated seats...hmmmm...other things...
: Modified air cleaner for all engines, Modified calibration software for the engine, 45RFE Auto tranny replaces 44RE(on 4.7L), New transfer case shift pattern, T-case shift linkage mounted to body instead of t-case, New Catalytic Converter...all engines, Exhaust pipe size change for 5.9L, New T-case and front skid plates, wood trim added, gathered leather door panel inserts, new fog lamps, various interior trim now color keyed...instead of just black, 245/75/15 wheels/tires now offered on 4x2 version along with wheel well flares, rack and pinion steering replaces recirculating ball (current)...thats about it that will be apparent..
: With thatsaid...I ordered a 99 white/agate D with every option on it last week...couldn't wait for the extra hp 5.9L and wanted the 3rd seat to have the better leg room...enough for up to 6'2" people to sit in...
: I can't wait till it arrives in a few weeks!
: Sincerely,
