February 2006
About Chris and his 'D' My name is Chris Coakley and I want to thank the DOC for voting me February DOTM. I only got my D about a year ago. It was my mom's car and, when I turned seventeen and it was time for me to start looking for a car, I knew right away that, if I could, I wanted to get the D from her. So, after some talking, I convinced her to get a 2004 D and I got her 99. Right away I knew I wanted to do some stuff to the D but just didn’t know where to look? That's when I found the DOC and, although I haven't done too much yet, thanks to all the guys in the DOC, I have a pretty big list of stuff to add. For the exterior, I've added a Westin Safari Bar, PIAA lights (will be gone soon, Cervini front bumper coming soon), Euro Black One-piece headlights, JMD black taillights, Street Scene upper and lower grill inserts, 5% tint on all back windows, 35% tint on front windows. I plan on doing a lot more exterior mods when my new rims arrive in 2 weeks such as adding a body kit, mirrors, hood and wiper cowl. For the interior I just did the usual, Kenwood head unit, two 12" Alpine type E’s, Autometer d-pic, headliner redone in black and a Memphis amp. As for performance mods, there's not much there yet either. A cold air intake, dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series muffler and, coming in next week, PPH headers. Once I'm done with the exterior, I’m going to work on the performance side with whatever else I can find for her lol. I couldn't be happier with my D and all the stuff I've done to it. I'm really glad I chose the D over a car or something else and plan on keeping it for as long as I can and, right now, don’t plan on ever selling her! I guess that's it. Just want to thank to DOC once again for voting me the February DOTM Chris This website is in no way affiliated with Dodge or Chrysler LLC.
