Steve & Sandy Fatseas
(aka Radio Flyer)

About Steve, Sandy and their D

I was born in New York City in 1945 where I spent my early childhood. My family moved to southern California in 1955 where I grew up, met and married my bride, Sandy, and where we had two beautiful daughters. We moved to Washington State in 1978 where we've lived since. I work at a leading automated data collection company as the manager of the CAD Systems Department. My hobbies include working on my wife's dollhouse and woodworking. When I'm not making something for them, I'm playing with our three beautiful granddaughters.

Sandy and I wanted a D ever since they first came out. Every time we saw one on the road, we would say "Those are so cool, I can't wait to get one." We finally bought our Flame Red beauty in September, 2000. We've had other SUVs and, in fact, we had a Jeep Cherokee for 10 yrs. before we bought the D. As you can see, we keep our vehicles for a long time and we certainly plan to do that with the D. Since we bought the D, we have mainly done some cosmetic changes like the driver & passenger window tint, Dodge door sill guards, Super White xenon headlight & fog light bulbs, and 5.9 emblems. We upgraded the stock stereo to a Panasonic CD player and 8 disk changer. We also have the Intense Performance Stage II air intake system.

We joined the DOC early in 2001 and are very pleased with the organization. We think the Forum is a great place for all of us to share information about our trucks and the D-Zine has some great articles. When each new issue comes out, we read every article, sometimes more than once. We are members of the Pacific Northwest DOC and have tried to be active in organizing small local events. Hopefully, as the weather continues to improve, we'll see more folks signing up for short local trips and events.

If you're interested in finding out more about our hobbies, please visit our site. We think you'll enjoy the tour.

It's been an honor to be chosen as the Durangoer of the Month for July. Thanks to the Board of Directors for choosing us.
