Ron & Rose Ceton
(aka RC2)

About Ron, Rose, and their D

In the Fall of 1997 I saw photos of the Durango on the web so I printed a copy, wrote "Ron's Christmas Wish List" on it, and hung it on the refrigerator. We didn't get our D in December as there were none in Phoenix to be had, but finally found one in February 1998.

We found the DOC a couple of months later. I remember Rose saying "you want us to join a club about a car? Are you nuts?" Now as many know she helps organize both the local AZ chapter events and DRMR 2000 and 2001. Rose, I and the 4 kids enjoy the friends we've met both locally in the AZ Chapter and nationally as a result of the DOC.

Except for tires, shocks, a DOC sticker, license plate, and many scratches from the 4x4'in we've done in AZ, our D is a stock 98 5.2L FR.

When the Quad Dak came out in 2000, we purchased one for Rose. Mary R. (Mrs. Thumpr1) had just purchased her D (they're a two D family) and within weeks Rose called from the car lot saying I needed to come down and sign the papers for her new truck. I think her and Mary worked together on this!

Editor's Note: Ron, Rose and their D were nominated for DOTM in recognition of the time and effort they've put into helping organize the Durango Rocky Mountain Rendezvous (DRMR) in 2000 and 2001. Their hard work this year is even more remarkable in light of the fact that they won't actually be able to participate in the trip (don't you just hate it when work gets in the way of fun?) Ron also put together a first rate web site for last year's Durango Rally Across Greater America (DRAGA).
