My White SLT+ was purchased in July of 1998 from Oyster Bay Dodge in Long Island when I decide to consolidate my two previous vehicles, a '88 Ford Bronco and a '90 Mercury Cougar, down to just one. I used to drive one or the other vehicle depending on where I was going or what the weather was like (the Bronco was used to get to work or ball games, while the Cougar was for taking my dates out to dinner, etc.) and the Durango made an excellent replacement. It was stylish and comfortable to drive while still providing me with a rugged 4x4 with hauling capabilities.

My D is pretty much stock with PT-4WD, Rear A/C, and 3rd row seat, although I had the dealer add running boards and mud-flaps. I got the smaller 5.2L thinking I'd get better gas mileage but I should have just gone for the power of the bigger 5.9L.

Since purchasing it, I've added a Mopar wood grain dash, some amateur radio equipment, window Ventvisors, pin striping by the late Vic Kessler and a Westin Sufari Bar with Trucklite running lights.
